WLNS Club
In this project case study, I will be sharing my experience designing a mobile app for a new wellness club. The goal was to create an app that made it easy for recovery-goers to start flows, track sessions, and analyze their progress.
Throughout the design process, I focused on creating an intuitive user interface that would enhance the overall user experience and encourage engagement with the app.

Process
Breaking down the project
The design process for the wellness centre mobile app involved several key stages. Firstly, I conducted extensive competitor research to understand the current offerings in the space and identify pain points with existing sauna and ice bath apps. Next, I created a mind map, and site map. After approval wireframes were created and presented with key functionalities. Finally, an extensive design library and high fidelity wireframes were created.
Building on strong foundations
Based on this research, and key stakeholders interviews, I created wireframes to map out the app’s functionality and structure. From there, I walked the team through the plan to make sure development would go seamlessly and we could catch any problems before the final step. Next, I created a high-fidelity mockup and held meetings to present the final design. My final step will be to create a prototype and conducted usability testing to refine the design and improve the user experience. The final design includes features such as social sharing, customization of haptics experience, and an accountability coach.
Collaborating with the internal team
Throughout the process, I worked closely with the CEO of the opening studio to ensure that the app met their requirements and aligned with their brand identity.
Overcoming challenges
During the project I faced several challenges, starting from scratch I needed to establish all of the project foundations. Mind maps, site maps, project direction, visual guidelines, and color palettes all needed to be decided on. The project also had a tight timeline of just one and a half months (for finalization of everything), requiring me to prioritize efficiently, balance research with execution, and iterate quickly. These challenges pushed me to be adaptable, take ownership of decision-making, and optimize workflows to deliver a functional and visually polished product within the constraints.
Outcome
The final outcome of the WLNS Club centre mobile app is a user-friendly and engaging digital product that exceeded the client’s expectations. I also created a website for the brand. See here
Users are able to easily start flows, track sessions, and analyze their progress all within a seamless and intuitive app experience.
As a result, the WLNS Club has an application to increase customer retention and engagement within their location as well as in the app store. It has become an important part of their overall customer experience.
